BodyTalk

Our bodies are extraordinary. They create, heal, protect, communicate and are relatively self-sufficient.
So why do they break down or stop performing optimally?

Physical ailments are a way for your body to get your attention. Your body and mind are not separate entities. When there’s a break down in internal communication, your physical self is letting you know you need to make some changes.

The general approach to healthcare is symptom focused. Each issue is independent of each other, and treated as such.  The body is viewed as separate parts that form the whole. There is not a lot of consideration as to the why or how a person developed the symptom, condition, or disease.

BodyTalk’s focus is different. The body is viewed not as independent parts, but as systems that interact with and are dependent on each other for their own functioning.  It looks at the symptom as just that, an indication that something bigger is going on. Body and mind are not separate, and through this lens we work to resolve issues on a deeper level.

Just like tears signify emotion, your body has physical reactions to your thoughts and feelings.
Sometimes we can tell (butterflies, knot in our stomach, stress headaches) but most of the time we are unaware of our body’s reaction. It’s often only when faced with physical discomfort that we seek help.
